Swift Student Celebration

After being one of the winners of the Swift Student Challenge, I was invited to a day out at apple's offices in the city.
There were a lot of other student developers there, and we all shared our projects with one another.
Some people presented their apps, and some apple (ex-)employees shared their experiences with all of us.

Last term I was studying Object Oriented Programming (COSC120), and I ended up getting 82/100 and a distinction.
This term, the unit I'm studying is Calculus and Linear Algebra 1 (MTHS120)

Watchcord

Watchcord progress has been slow, but steady.
I recently made an entirely new website for watchcord!! You can find it at https://watchcord.dev

I'm really happy with the website because it turned out really well, and also because I used some technologies I've never used before.
Compared to my personal website (https://circulars.dev) it's way more modern and optimised for mobile devices, and also uses a really cool web framework!

There's a lot of new features in watchcord, like the long-awaited flicktype support and some better message views.

There's also a new alternate logo you can turn on in the app!

Big Picture Internship

Over the past few months I've helped set up a bunch of stuff, like making a button that adds a big picture assessor license to the wallet on your phone, and setting up various pieces of software, like this one thing called the Adapt Authoring Tool, which is a piece of software used for making online courses and quizzes.

At the moment, they use a version of the tool hosted by the people that make it, which costs them quite a bit of money every month.
The tool, however, is completely open source, and you're able to host it yourself for free.

I've also been working with trying to update their site to the latest version, which hasn't been very easy as there are a lot of changes that have to be made.

Tata Consultancy Internship

From the 30th of July to the first of August, I went to Tata Consultancy Services for an internship.
We learnt about basic cybersecurity stuff, like all the different types of attacks hackers will use to break into a network.

We were split up into teams and tasked with trying to find as many bugs and vulnerabilities in a juice shop website (which was set up to intentionally be vulnerable in dozens of ways)

Every team was given 15 minutes to find as many vulnerabilities as they could. Then the results were tallied, and the team with the most vulnerabilities found was the winner.
Our team did really well and found the most vulnerabilities, but we tied for first place because one or two people in our team didn't find as many vulnerabilities.
